A few more pictures...oh yeah..I cut all my hair off!

An Exciting Week!

We've had a pretty exciting week so far and it's only Tuesday! Michael and I drove to Indy last night to buy a car since the lease is almost up on the current one. He ended up buying a Nissan Altima. It's beautiful!
This weekend we had our first road trip with Dane to Wisconsin to visit some relatives. It was actually wonderful! Dane slept most of the trip and when he was awake I would sit in the back with him and keep him company or read to him.
Dane is starting to eat solid foods so I've been making most of the baby food. This week it's carrots, green beans and sweet potatoes.
Other than that, staying home has been a dream! I've enjoyed every day with him and although I miss working and miss everyone at Zimmer, I ultimately feel like this is my calling in life! We sleep in till around 7:30 and then take the girls (Lucy and Lola) on a walk one at a time. Then we come back and eat breakfast and Dane goes back to bed for an hour and half. That' s just one of the three naps he's been taking each day.  I run around the house catching up on odds and ends and then we play when he wakes up. We just bought a little swing for him but he's not quite big enough for it! He helps me water the plants outside and watches me make dinner at night before Michael comes home. Life is good!
Here are some pictures from this week!

Our first long week together...

Happy Father's Day to all those wonderful dad's out there! Especially Michael!

We had a great first long week together (Dane and I). Things are definitely different now staying home all week than they were at two months of age when a baby would normally just eat and sleep as he did on my maternity leave. Dane continually keeps me on my toes. The minute I set him down he starts to whimper because he HAS to be carried everywhere to see the action. Even when I go to Walmart he fusses just laying back in his car seat so I have to balance him in one arm and a basket in the other. We went swimming for the first time this week in Grandma Bowditch's pool.  A little chilly but he seemed to love the water! I'm hoping for a swimmer and piano player someday....I think dad has other dreams though for him.  We'll just have to wait and see where his interests fall! He continues to amaze us each day! Such a wonderful gift from God!

Dane-and the missing monkey...

Let's try this out!

Hello Everyone!

I thought this would be a great way to keep updates on the Bowditch family each week. Last Thursday I was let go from Zimmer along with 100 other employees. I was lucky enough though to come home to a full time position as a stay at home mom for Dane, our son. He is a little over 5 months old and changes every day. Of course we will have a budget to watch but Michael (my husband) and I would agree this is where I belong! It was a little bit of a shock with the lay off but I believe that this was the plan God had in store for me. I'm going to miss Zimmer and all of the amazing people I've met through the years!
