Another great week!

We had a great week at the Bowditch house! Last week was the Fulton County Fair so we spent many nights checking out the animals and spending time with friends while eating the typical junk fair food. 

Dane is sitting up on his own now. He's also sleeping through the night since his teeth came through....what a relief!!

He went to the doctor today for his 6 month appointment. He is 27 1/2 inches long and weighs 16.3 lbs. A little on the light side you could say but he's taller than the average boy so he's my little string bean. My mom, sister and I are leaving for Texas next Tuesday and I'm excited, anxious and nervous. Michael will be having Dane all to himself for 5 days besides the daytime when he'll be watched by Judy, our neighbor, and Michael's mom. I'm sure it will be quite the challenge for him to have to get up in the mornings and not only take care of himself but Dane and the dogs. He's a trooper though and I'm sure he'll be great! Say a little prayer for him though next week!!!

It's amazing how time goes by so fast! We just got two teeth over the weekend. He had been working on it but they finally popped up! Surprisingly, it wasn't too bad for any of us. We just kept him comfortable and let him chew on anything he could get his hands on. Even the chocolate chip cookies we keep in the freezer! (thanks Brianne, he got the last one...) I always end up eating the mooshy and wet cookie when he's done.

We're pretty excited about this week considering it's fair week here in Rochester and Dane loves animals...or at least when I make the noises to him! 

Our amazing neighbor Judy gave us a dishwasher she had barely even used so we spent most of the weekend (or Michael did..) trying to figure out how to put that one in since our old one was jimmy-rigged in there. Saturday night, Michael and I had a date night with another couple so we were able to have our first real date since Dane was born. It was so much fun! (Thanks Karen!)

Had a great time on Saturday with our good friends Brianne, Joe and Vivian. We went to the Akron parade then had a small cookout with some friends and on to frying the turkey at the Miller house! It was a great time! Between the turkey, sweet potato fries, french fries and cheese sticks..I think we all gained a few pounds that night. Dane is doing well! No teeth or crawling yet but we're getting there! Have a great week everyone!
