Missing my co-workers!!!

Last Thursday I decided I was going to suck it up and just go back to Zimmer to say hi to my fellow co-workers. After being "let go" in early June, I was scared that I wouldn't be welcome in the building. Needless to say I was wrong. I am so thankful I went! I haven't seen these women for over 2 months and they were all near and dear to me! I spent more time with them when I was working then with my own husband so to see them again and give them hugs made my week! I love you ladies!!
Nothing too new at the Bowditch house. Still running with Dane 3 times a week and I'm not dragging as much! I forgot to mention that Michael is running 2 miles EVERY DAY and has been since JANUARY OF 08. Crazy huh? Who knows how long it will last but I'll support him. He's ran in every kind of weather imaginable. Even when I was in the hospital with Dane, he was still able to make time to run.
Robin (fellow co-worker), you would be so proud of me. I finally got started on Dane's scrapbook and I'm doing great with it. I can't wait to bring it in and show you once I'm on a roll! (Happy early Birthday!)
Yesterday was my mother in law's birthday and she is so hard to shop for! So I decided that I would make her a homemade cake, including the frosting. I followed the directions to a T on making a 2 layer butter pecan cake with cream cheese frosting. It takes a long time to make a cake from scratch! We ended up having it last night and it was a tiny bit dry but still for my first time...not bad!
Ok everyone, have a great cool weekend!

Christmas came early...
If anyone has ever been to Frankenmuth, MI they probably know it's known for having the largest Christmas store in the world...and we went. An hour and half later after seeing every possible Christmas ornament known to man, Dane and I left wanting nothing to do with Christmas for another 5 years. It's completely overwhelming to say the least! Other than that, our trip to Michigan was great! Michael was in an insurance conference most of the time but Dane and I were able to walk around and hit up the local ice cream and homemade cheese shops. That was fun! A little hotel swimming and outlet mall shopping and we were set!
No crawling yet for Dane but I'm betting he's cutting another tooth with all of the drool and chewing. It's like having another dog in our house:)
Had a great time with friends over the weekend. I met up with my best friend Abby for lunch and then had the Miller gang over for dinner. Our kids are the best of buddies. Brianne and I just ordered their Halloween pj's. They are going to be the cutest kids on the block!
Have a great week everyone!

Getting Back in Shape...OUCH!!

After our run!! He's in the sink since Michael is working on the bathroom!!
All Clean after my bath
Ok, so we've got a family tradition on the Bowditch side where we have to run the 4 mile Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving Day. The whole Bowditch clan does it except Gina (Michael's mom) of course since she is at home making all of the wonderful food for the day! Babies are pushed in strollers by Grandpa Bowditch and the rest of the clan runs it. Needless to say, I haven't done anything for the last few months thanks to the help of the calorie burning breastfeeding and holding Dane every second of the day! I've been able to lose all my baby weight easily but now it's about building some endurance and strength. I decided yesterday I need to pick it up and do something so I went out with Dane and ran! It was great until I died at 2 miles. All I could think about in my head was...wow...I still have 2 more come November! So that's what Dane and I are going to be doing a few nights a week!
The rest of week was great! Dane and I have a pretty easy schedule each day that we stick to. Most importantly is our "quiet" time from the advice of Aunt Kathy! Between 1 and 3 in the afternoon we just relax together by reading or just taking a long nap. It's good for us both!
Michael invited Dane and I to go to Michigan with him on a business trip this week so we're excited about that! Hope everyone out there is enjoying this hot hot weather!!!
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.

Back from Texas after a great week!
Wow! It's been a while since I've written on this. My mom, sister and I just got back from Texas on Sunday morning. What a great week! We had such a good time with the Hipsher family. The weather down there was beautiful. Every day was over 95 degrees but it was always breezy and we were able to swim in their pool to keep cool. We were also able to go to the beach, do a little shopping, play cards, and work at the homeless shelter one night for dinner. We were originally supposed to come home Saturday night but we missed our last flight to Indy due to weather. There were about 12 of us standing in the airport knocking on the window waving our ticket to the pilot in front of us already pulling out...it was sad!!! We ended up staying a night in a hotel in Memphis courtesy of Delta airlines. My mom, sister and I had a good time though spending one more night together.
Michael did an excellent job with Dane while I was gone. He not only had to take care of Dane but the girls and himself all by himself at night. Michael's mom and Judy were able to help us out during the daytime while Michael was at work. Michael even made it to church on Sunday morning with Dane.. and as our good friends told me ..."he looked a little frazzled and could tell he hadn't shaved in a few days." Dane is now sleeping through the night and also doesn't cry when we go on stroller rides in the morning with the girls (Lucy and Lola). I can also tell that Dane has grown more fond of him, as the night I came home and Dane was fussy....Michael told me "he likes it when you do this..."
Michael met me at the airport with Dane and I never thought I would, but I cried when I saw Dane. After spending every day, every moment, every hour, and being "attached" to me, it was overwhelming to see this little boy that somehow looked and felt different when I held him. Even though I was gone 6 days from him, it felt like weeks. It's made me appreciate every moment during the day I get to spend with him. I am the luckiest girl!
